Hostile Architecture

This series of drawings explores the presence of hostile architecture, as encountered in our urban public spaces, and the use of specific materials to imply value or status. The drawings depict exaggerated instances, focussing attention on these usually subtle architectural additions. The marbled additions present a means of subverting these behavioural controls, depicted in materials that are in keeping with their context.
