Off-White Side Plate

A wheel-thrown plate with a raised rim and two turned foot rings. Decorated with a slip-trailed spiral after being freshly thrown, then trimmed and fired before being coated in a matte transparent glaze.

This plate is made with a mix of buff and white clays with a slight grog, so has a nice warmth to the unglazed stoneware on the underside. A good size for a slice of cake or a side dish to a meal.

The surface of the plate is decorated with a spiral pattern made by trailing slip across the surface as it spins on the wheel. The plate has a raised rim and a matte transparent glaze.
