Undulating Vase

Wheel-thrown stoneware vase with a rich dark bronze and blue glaze. This piece has a textured surface, made by brushing thick slip over the surface before the piece is fired. Both the form and texture of the piece are influenced by the ironwork railings around Brighton & Hove, and the way the many layers of paint that coat them inevitably deteriorate and flake off

This piece is fully glazed and holds water. Best suited to hold cut flowers and grasses with long slender stems.
