Beaded Vase

A slender, wheel-thrown stoneware vase. Made on the wheel in sections and assembled thereafter.

The piece is adorned with rings of small clay protrusions in a variety of shapes, each of which was individually hand formed and placed. It is finished in a combination of glazes which come together to produce a dark green/bronze colour, with glossy deep blue flashes around the rim.

Fully glazed, this piece holds water for cut flowers and foliage with tall stems, but is also an engaging object when empty.
