Ribbed Vase

Tall, slender stoneware vase. Thrown in sections on the wheel and later assembled. Fully glazed and holds water.

This vase has hand formed ribs running horizontally down the length of its body, as well as shorter ones round its middle. These highlight the form of the piece and create sharp points for the glaze to break over. The glaze on the outer surface is a glossy, deep blue with aspects of purple and bronze, while the inside is a lighter blue/grey glaze with a soft, satin-like finish.
