Multi-Spouted Vase

A slip-decorated and glazed vase. Comprised of both thrown and coil-built sections, this large work has multiple spouts placed around the circumference of its mid-section to hold flower stems, allowing for a full and varied arrangement.

The piece is fully glazed, with the rounded middle holding a generous amount of water. The foot of the vase is hollow, glazed inside and out. This section was crafted with the intention of holding small dried flower cuttings, inspired by the way grasses and foliage grow around the bases of ironwork railings.
